BGS Participates in MTA's Trucks and Toys 2016 Event
December 13, 2016 | Carole Clark IsaksonThe BGS Transportation Law Department is carrying on the tradition of involvement with a great cause – the Minnesota Trucking Association (MTA) Trucks and Toys event. This event provides toys for disadvantaged children and teens all over the state of Minnesota, through the efforts of MTA members like BGS. This year BGS attorneys and staff enthusiastically jumped in to the shopping challenge, and even helped load a truck! The MTA has been running this event for more than 20 years, and this year twenty three MTA members around the state collected toys and cash (used to buy more toys). The MTA coordinates with many charities throughout the state, and this year partnered with even more groups to donate even more toys. Here in the metro area, the MTA donated toys to Kinship in Fridley, People Serving People in Minneapolis and Harriet Tubman Foundation in Minneapolis. BGS personnel took part in the event on a more direct level. On Friday night December 2, BGS staff Jackie Campbell and Marly Gullekson (and Marly’s daughters and grandkids!) had a great time helping shop at the Blaine Target, where they helped the MTA purchase more than $13,000 of toys. Wiebold has joined the firm’s Transportation Law and Computer & Software law departments. She will be working closely with attorneys practicing in the firm’s growing Transportation and Computer Software areas serving existing clients and enhancing the firm’s ability to serve new areas of the community. Before joining the BGS law firm, Nicole had experience as an associate attorney in litigation, estate planning and business transaction matters. She also served as a Judicial Extern for 10th Judicial District Judge Kathleen Mottl and a Hamline’s Dean Summer Fellow for 1st Judicial District Chief Judge Terrence E. Conkel. Nicole graduated summa cum laude from Hamline University School of Law in May 2015 and was ranked in the top 10{a0c01d20c42349884e67ff80c137866b0a9fe47aaae8f8a86a605a369ae487c3}. While at Hamline she was on the Dean’s list, was a Hamline Law Review Associate Editor, and received the CALI Excellence for the Future awards five times. Nicole also obtained a Paralegal certificate from Minnesota Paralegal Institute in 2009 where she graduated with a 4.0, and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Minnesota, Morris in 2008. Nicole is excited about this new opportunity in her legal career.

They bring with them their extensive experience in the areas of Transportation law, Computer and Software law, and Corporate law and will also help expand our practice in existing areas. Also joining the firm will be Jackie J. Campbell who will act as Legal Administrative Assistant for Jim and Carole. James H.
