Call the Proper Authorities

Collect and Exchange Information From All Parties
When collecting information at the scene of the accident, you need to make sure that you document:

- License plate numbers of vehicles involved
- Vehicle makes and models
- Photographs of the accident and scene
- Photographs of the license plate of the other party
When documenting this information, be sure to also get the name, department, and badge number of the responding police officer(s). Obtain a copy of the police report as well.
